JackrabbitGo is a WISP (wireless internet service provider) that aims to deliver community-based, privacy focused, internet solutions with the needs of the customer experience in mind. We have studied and experienced the shortcomings of the major network providers and we are delivering a no nonsense, honest, and best in class customer experience. Life is too short to spend time trying to figure out why your internet is down or why your service is degraded, and at JackrabbitGo we keep you connected at affordable prices.
A WISP is a Wireless Internet Service Provider. WISPs provide internet to homes and businesses but instead of using wires and cables, WISPs provide service via radio signals passed between communication towers and rooftop antennas. Some of the main advantages of WISPs over legacy phone and cable providers is that they can be operated locally, by and for residents who are familiar with the community and its needs. Because WISPs use state-of-the-art wireless gear, they can bypass the process of putting up telephone poles and ripping up streets and sidewalks as the big corporate internet providers do. This makes upgrading, maintaining and expanding the network much quicker.
Latency—sometimes called ping—is the round-trip time it takes for data to travel from your device to a server on the internet and back. Think of it like a short pause in a conversation: the smaller the delay, the more natural and responsive everything feels.
Because JackrabbitGo’s network uses ground-based infrastructure instead of satellites, our network provides lower, more consistent latency than Starlink or other satellite providers – meaning a smoother and faster online experience.
We provide services up to 500Mbps. Please fill out our form click here or call us directly at 760-282-4042, and we will get back to you with service options as quickly as possible.
Yes, most residential broadband providers set a data limit or cap to ensure that no one customer or subscriber takes up more than their fair share of the bandwidth. The good news is that our data limit is 2TB or 2000Gb per month, which a majority of subscribers do not come close to utilizing in a one-month cycle. Please contact us for more information if you have a need for more data.
We will not throttle your speeds below the data package speed indicated on your plan because we believe that broadband stability is vital to the customer experience. We understand that you are paying for internet services with your hard-earned money, and we want to ensure you are receiving the wireless speeds that you paid for.
At JackrabbitGo, we like to keep it simple. We offer four speeds: 30 Mbps, 50 Mbps, 100 Mbps, and up to 500 Mbps. For those who need higher bandwidth, we can accommodate certain areas. Please contact us for pricing and availability. For more information on our pricing plans click here.
We do not bind you with long-term contracts or offer confusing service plans. You will only need to complete a month-to-month service agreement. You pay monthly for your selected wireless plan and are free to cancel or change your plan at any time.
To ensure that you are receiving the best connection, we will need to set-up your wireless connection utilizing our next generation hardware. However, we do understand that privacy is of the utmost importance. Some of our customers utilize their own router to set-up their own network. Don’t know how to set up your network? Please feel free to let us know and we are happy to help!
Many internet customers don’t know that their providers are selling data about their browsing habits. JackrabbitGo is committed to keeping your browsing data private. We will NEVER sell your data.
JackrabbitGo and Starlink both provide high-speed internet, but they work very differently:
Feature | JackrabbitGo | Starlink |
---|---|---|
Technology | Uses terrestrial Tarana CBRS radio nodes connected to nearby towers | Uses low-earth orbit (LEO) satellites to beam internet from space towers |
Plans up to 500 Mbps | Typically 100-250 Mbps | |
Latency (Response Time) | Lower, more stable latency since signals travel shorter distances | Higher latency (20-40ms or more) since signals must travel to space and back |
Equipment | A compact receiver installed on your home or business | A motorized satellite dish that requires clear sky access |
Reliability | Less affected by congestion, interference, and weather | Can experience interruptions due to congestion and bad weather |
